Morning everybody! First haul of the day being sampled now, a very clean catch of beautiful yellowtail flounder, colours mimicking the seabottom and very smooth to the touch. We had to move south during the night to escape the bad weather and we plan to spend the day fishing at about 50 m.

Now we are headed to cast the CTD, hopefully with better fortune than yesterday. Within range of our radar we have a fishing vessel from the US, also outside the Canadian EEZ, name undisclosed, and close to us but in Canadian waters we have the trawlers Aqviq and Kinguk, very much looking like sister ships, both built in 1988. A bit further is the Atlantic Champion, one of the ships from St. John's fishing for crabs. It's amazing how far out they go considering their size. Well, we wish you all a good fishing day!
